Do I have to practice yoga nidra meditation lying down?

It’s ideal to lie down (or lean back), but you definitely don’t have to. Benefits are exactly the same. The point is to be comfortable.

What if I fall asleep?

Not a problem. While we encourage you to stay in a gentle state of awareness if you fall asleep yoga nidra still imprints on your subconscious mind. You will benefit whether you fall asleep or not. As you practice more, you'll stay aware, awake, and deeply relaxed throughout the meditation.

Can I listen to yoga nidra meditation while driving?


Yikes - no, please don’t. Yoga nidra takes you into deep brainwave states. You don’t want to be driving.
