Karen Brody, a women’s wellness expert and author of the book, “Daring to Rest: Reclaim Your Power with Yoga Nidra Rest Meditation,” is changing the educational paradigm through her inspiring way to teach rest and create community.
Since 2007, Karen has helped women feel well-rested and dream big in their lives using a guided sleep meditation technique known as yoga nidra. She has also trained women to share yoga nidra with their communities and pursue successful careers rooted in health, healing and women’s empowerment.
As the founder of Daring to Rest, she writes and speaks on how women can move from worn out to well-rested and start dreaming big in their lives. She also trains women around the world in her Daring to Rest online program with the mission of creating a world of well-rested, fully powered people.

WHY THIS PROGRAM?
“Soon after I wrote my book, Daring to Rest, I received this message on my Instagram: 'I confess, I have been resistant to even checking out your book, even thoough I am familiar with yoga nidra. It feels indulgent, somehow, to claim what I know I need.'
This broke my heart because I was this woman for many years, living the life of the worn out woman, knowing I needed rest, but not claiming it. It felt too indulgent, especially as a mom raising two kids and running my own business. Rest always came last.
It took entering a dark place in my life, my face filled with pimples from rosacea and lots of chronic health issues, before I began to take rest seriously and not see it as an indulgence. When I found yoga nidra, and committed to practicing it consistently, I began to see it as a healing tool - a simple, all-natural cure to many of my health issues.
I created the Supreme Gift of Rest so you can have this rest cure. I know that a one year commitment to yogic sleep will make a huge difference. I’m still learning a lot about rest - carving out time and space in our modern world for rest is a learning curve and revolutionary - but a one year commitment was how I said yes to rest and began to get better sleep, be gentle with myself, and ultimately end a life long history of panic attacks.

After you've signed up for The Supreme Gift of Rest, you may begin right away. You can re-listen to each meditation as many times as you like and download it. Go at your own pace. You may choose to share your experience and receive the support of Karen and other Supreme Gift of Rest participants. There is no required time frame to complete this program. And, finally, while most of Karen's offerings are focused on women's health, this program is suitable for both men and women.
