+ What is Yoga Nidra?
Yoga Nidra, or "yogic sleep," is a guided meditation practice inducing deep relaxation between waking and sleeping, typically practiced by lying down (although you can sit or be in any position) and following instructions to relax the body and quiet the mind, promoting stress relief, better sleep, and enhanced awareness through techniques like body scans, breath awareness, and setting intentions. It has been said that 45 minutes of yoga nidra feels like 3 hours of sleep in your body! We cannot wait to introduce you to yoga nidra - it's the most supreme relaxation we know.
+ I'm not a writer - is this just for writers?
This is not just for writers. This is for any woman who wants time to rest deeply and then have soft space to write, daydream, or work on a creative project is welcome.
+ What if I just want the rest?
Fantastic! The core practice throughout the 40 days is yoga nidra - deep transformational rest.
+ Is it okay if I have no yoga nidra experience?
Absolutely. Newbie resters are welcome. All you do is lie down (or sit) and do nothing while listening to Karen's voice guide you into the state of yoga nidra. No experience is necessary.
+ I REALLY WANT TO JOIN THE program, BUT I DON'T THINK I CAN AFFORD IT.
We hope the payment plan we offer helps ease the financial impact, but if it's still not financially possible please reach out to us. We offer a sliding scale for any woman who feels called to attend this program.
Also, a great way to start Daring to Rest on your own is to get the book, Daring to Rest: Reclaim Your Power with Yoga Nidra Rest Meditation by Karen Brody. The book takes you through our 40-day program. Look for it at your local library or purchase it. Lots of women do the Daring to Rest 40-day program this way. The book comes with three free yoga nidras recorded by Karen.
+ I AM considering the Daring to Rest Faciltiator Training, but also want to take this program.
The Daring to Rest Facilitator Training is a small intimate online professional certification program that trains you to teach yoga nidra. This 40-day program is the first phase in our facilitator training. So, if you know you want to take the training, we suggest you enroll directly in the training. Having said that, if you are new to Daring to Rest you might want to enroll in the 40-day program first and then decide whether our facilitator training is right for you. If you have questions, contact us.
+ Will you offer this program again this year?
No. Karen teaches the Daring to Rest 40 Day Program only once a year in January.

+ What is your refund policy?
Daring to Rest does not offer refunds for the 40 day Daring to Rest program. We try to be completely transparent on this enrollment page so you know what we are offering when you sign up.
